HEY THERE! I'm Kichi

My portraits are colorful and sunny with a detailed elaboration of each model's unique facial features. I usually pay a lot of attention to eyes, smiles, expressive little things that convey character and make your face stand out. I'm not afraid to use elements of a lively, quick sketch in my drawings. This makes them more natural, like pencil or watercolor illustrations. My work is joyful, full of light, and effortless ease.

My story

My career began at age 4 when my mother took me to a children's club. There we sculpted from clay, painted with gouache, and learned origami. This place was paradise for me! I didn't want to leave at all and was really looking forward to each new lesson, but then the club closed just one year later.

Since then, drawing has never been seen as anything more than a hobby. It is now an integral part of my life because where else would you find so much creative inspiration? After getting a computer and the Internet in 2009, I started drawing digitally. And then, I again found a place where I studied painting and academic drawing for 5 years. My father is an artist, too. He used to create jewelry and would often ask me to draw sketches with him. He supported my desire to paint, gave me my first graphics tablet, and did his best to develop me as an artist. When I was 12 and I started to study computer graphics, it seemed like a miracle to me! Paper and pencils have since faded into the background. I looked to digital artists, admired them, then tried myself in some simple poses or different facial expressions. It was very hard for me, and I thought that other people were so much better than I. But I knew that as soon as you step out of your comfort zone, you might find yourself struggling until, finally, practice makes perfect. I have always been inspired by fantasy, science fiction, and mysticism.
